sneak peek & a discovery of SELF
Picking our way through the forest floor, foliage curling up around our ankles and calves. Mere steps away from the family's minivan, but each step taking us miles away from them and closer to that deep feeling of one-ness of all existence that you can only experience when surrounded by the quietness of the forest and the ancient trees.
In short... even though we were there for a photoshoot... we were actually discovering pieces of our SELVES.
"Transformational" is the word that comes to mind. Because the longer I cradled the camera in my hand & captured new visions through it, the more I felt like I was sliding back into mySELF.
Not the person I used to be, but this newer magical creature I seem to be becoming. Playful, curious, adventurous, open, and utterly confident in my body, my vision, my talents, and mySELF. Moving differently than I have ever before. With more intent, decisiveness, and less overthinking.
It was exhilarating, leaving me breathless in the very best of ways.
And on her end? She was a bit breathless, too... seeing a version of herself she'd only envisioned in her head till now.
We both captured something MAGICAL that day. And these photos are just the beginning.
