My husband & I converse in jokes, song lyrics, and random mouth sounds. So while I can’t remember HOW the conversation started or what was actually said, I remember being doubled over in laughter as he “sang” the “stripper song”… in chicken boks.

Which gave me phrase “chicken strips” & inspired me to draw THIS. 🤣🤣🤣

And I almost didn’t share it here, because it “might not fit my aesthetic,” and would probably make a few people go WTF & wonder if I was mentally okay.

Which is WHY I decided to post it anyway. Cuz f*ck any kind of algorithm & trying to look “perfect.” And my husband is a huuuge part of my inspiration & keeping me SANE (or perhaps just matching my level of insanity so I FEEL more sane???)…

But in any case, I thought this deserved to be seen. Because it made me crack up the entire time I was drawing it. And it’s a little bit weird, and I’m definitely weird. And cuz stupid little jokes like this are my husband’s & my love language. And modern romance deserves to be celebrated.

Even in the form of chicken strips.
